ANGLED GATEFOLD CARD

Sep 14, 2022

This card layout is all over the internet right now so I thought I would try my hand at it today. It is called an Angled Gatefold Card. Normally a gatefold card comes together in the middle and is held closed by the belly band. This one overlaps like a double breasted jacket and is held closed by the belly band. For this card I used the Bewitching Bundle

Measurements:
Cut 12 x 5 1/2 Basic Black, score at 4 & 8, trim off 1/8" from the panel on the left. This will make it easier to fold flat

Cut according to the pattern below: mark right & left panel at 1 1/2 from the top, cut from the score line to the 1 1/2" mark, mark the bottom panel at 1" from the outside edge, along the bottom edge, cut from that mark to the top angled cut

Cut 2 pieces of 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 Perfectly Penned Designer Series Paper. Place them good sides together, mark them at 1 1/2" from the top, and 1" at the bottom from the left.

Cut the moon in Mango Melody using the largest circle from Stylish Shapes Dies, sponge the edges with Pumpkin Pie using a Sponge Dauber, stamp the spider in Tuxedo Black Momento
Stamp the witch hat and feet on Basic White with Tuxedo Black Momento, color with Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate light & Dark & Basic Black Stampin' Blends, fussy cut the feet, punch the hat using the coordinating punch

Cut 9 1/4 x 1 Basic Black, belly band, wrap around the card gently creasing so it is not too tight, adhere in the front, attach the moon to cover the seam.

For this one I used Summer Splash the last of the five colors in the 2024-26 In Color Collection. I used Trusty Tools Bundle and Happy Little Things to bring this color to life. This coordinates well with Pool Party, as suggested by the name, and Pretty Peacock.

This is the fourth of the five new 2024-26 In Colors Petunia Pop. I love this color and it fits in well with our color families. Here I have added Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia to the card as accents. I did partial die cutting using the Simply Zinnia Bundle and the Stampin' Cut Machine.

Introducing the New Peach Pie, a 2024-26 In Color. I am amazed at how all the In Colors coordinate each year when they are introduced. Peach Pie is a wonderful addition to our color line. The Stamp set I chose to work with is Sending Smiles #158701 & Sending Dies #159271 both will be retiring on May 1. So if you love it be sure to order it before it is gone! Here is another sample using the New Peach Pie In Color:

This is one of the cards I created with the March 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit. The kit reminded me a lot of several of the Designer Series Papers we have had recently. I have worked with those papers but I am not really excited about them. It is just a different style card for me. I love layers so using the Patterned Dies and a few layers helped me feel like I would do these again.
