2017 Calendar – March

Dec 19, 2016

There is so much usually going on in March that I can’t decide what to do but this year, Easter is in April and I didn’t want to do a shamrock. With the encouragement of my hubby I started looking outside the box and he suggested kites. Kites!!! We don’t have kites! I thought. I looked through the catalog one more time and behold!! We have kites in Swirly Bird! They are beautiful kites.

My tip would be use the Stamp-A-Majig when stamping the kites. Even though the stamps are Photopolymer it’s still a little challenging. I wanted my kites to be perfect! They came close.

To create the sky I used the Tree Builder punch, punched the cloud and then sponged. Start at the top and use a dauber and sponge off the edge of the cloud. Continue moving sideways and down. It will create a beautiful sky. You can do it as much or little as you want. The more you do the darker your sky is. Leave more space between the sponging, the lighter and fluffier the sky. Practice and have fun with it. Its amazing they all look great and I saw over 60 of them.

Stamp the strings and bows before attaching the kites. I used a dimensional for the center kite.

This is the most adorable stamp set! The characters are so cute you won't want to miss out on this one. It also has dies that coordinate with it to make it even more adaptable.

The Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack makes amazing, quick and easy cards. Just create a card layout of your choice, add complimentary Designer Series Paper that coordinates with the flower image you chose and you are well on your way to creating a beautiful card. You will need a few basics to take your card to the next level. Here I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies, Eyelet Embossing Folder & Natures Sweetness Designer Series Paper. The greeting came from So Sincere.

For this one I used Summer Splash the last of the five colors in the 2024-26 In Color Collection. I used Trusty Tools Bundle and Happy Little Things to bring this color to life. This coordinates well with Pool Party, as suggested by the name, and Pretty Peacock.

This is the fourth of the five new 2024-26 In Colors Petunia Pop. I love this color and it fits in well with our color families. Here I have added Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia to the card as accents. I did partial die cutting using the Simply Zinnia Bundle and the Stampin' Cut Machine.
