BOOK COVER BOXES

Oct 19, 2021

Do you remember these little books with Lifesaver Candies inside?

One thing I have missed greatly the last two years is the opportunity to do craft fairs. I have participated in Craft Fairs for so many years. When my children were younger I did all kinds of things for craft fairs.I sewed kitchen hand towels, crocheted, knitted, anything and everything. I have always done crafts but the last 5 years I have stayed to paper crafting and using it as an opportunity to meet new customers and team members. I just love to meet new people so I have missed that this year.

A couple of years ago I made a few of these for a craft fair and they sold out before the fair even started. I love to make boxes and these are fun and easy. So I thought why not do them for my Facebook live today. I have done them right from the beginning so you can replay the video and get all the important information from start to finish!

Yesterday I received the NEW Stampin' Up! Card Keeper Kit. Those of you who know me know that I never put kits together the way Stampin' Up! suggests. If you are a new stamper, this is a great kit for you. The kit includes 10 cards (5 of each design) with matching envelopes beautiful gold die cut leaves, green die cut leaves, greetings and vellum circle die cuts. Of course they have included Dimensionals and glue dots to use for creating your cards. The box is absolutely beautiful with shimmery leaves on the outside and a clean Night of Navy dotted pattern on the inside. It is really easy to assemble and is sturdy. I will be using mine for cards that I create during the year that I want to send to a particular person at a later time. I did create some alternate cards using the products that came in the kit and a few alternates. This kit does NOT include any stamps so you will want to have some greetings on hand if you run out of the ones provided, or need a specific greeting for a specific person.

Isn't this little character the cutest thing you've ever seen. I just love the Christmas Friends Bundle in the new September - December 2024 Mini Catalog. When I saw this set I loved it then when I found out it had dies it was a must have. This is a 1" shaker box. It was created so you could put 5 handmade cards inside and have fun with the outside. It would make a great gift!

As we head into the holidays I want you to think about making and keeping memories. These are the photos you take every day and at holidays. During the holidays you may take photos of family members that you only see occasionally. These are fun to keep and look back on from time to time. You are also making memories for your children, grand children and future generations. Scrapbooking gives you the opportunity to tell future generations your story. Your adventures, likes, even dislikes. If your pictures are on your phone, how will that help your loved ones know what it was all about, who those people were and will they even be able to get them when you are no longer here? Stampin' Up! has purchased Close To My Heart and now we have our first Memory Keeping products. We are so excited about the upcoming product. These are available on September 4, 2024. Watch for upcoming classes as well. I have not done memory keeping for a lot of years, but I think it's time, maybe past time for me to work on my albums. Want to see the first release of products? Here they are!

This is such a fun suite to work with. It will make absolutely beautiful Christmas cards and I am sure many other ideas will come from it as we work with it. It is the Season of Green & Gold Suite which includes the stamps, dies, beautiful printed Designer Series Paper, printed vellum, Cherry Cobbler & Clear Berries and a beautiful 3/4" Vanilla Statin Ribbon. Today I have not used a lot of the suite due to the fact that I am packing for a class so much of it is already packed. But I had fun creating this beautiful card.

Today I am going to show you how to take your favorite layout and make it into a fun fold. By layout I am talking about the way you have designed the front of the card.
