Catalog Kick Off

June 10, 2018

A fun celebration of the new Stampin' Up Catalog!

Last night and this morning I had my Catalog Kick Off events! Full of fun, food and prizes!
I always forget to take pictures at these events. I guess it is because I am so busy and focused on the event and all the wonderful ladies that attend.

Many of you asked about the food! The salad was an Asian Salad from Costco. I purchased a case of the canned Mandarin Oranges and drained them overnight. I wanted all the syrup to drain off, and added them to the salad. Everything else was in the bag.

The cake recipe came from a good friend and club member Carol Dickey. We had it at one of our clubs and she told me it was really simple.
I can do all kinds of things with paper but when it comes to cooking, if it has to go in the oven, forget it! This is so easy that even I can make it!

1 Betty Crocker Angel Food Cake Mix
1 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple

Yes that is all the ingredients! Nothing else!

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Use a 9 x 13" pan and spray with cooking oil like Pam
Put the Angel Food Cake Mix in a large bowl (you need lots of room for expansion)
Dump the can of crushed pineapple in juice and all
Mix well!
Pour into the oiled pan and put it in the oven for 25 minutes at 350 degrees!

Wait 25 minutes to cool and eat! I topped it with Whipped Cream, Strawberry, raspberry and a few blueberries. All which are not necessary they were just to make it look beautiful. You can do the same thing and use any pie filling mix and change the flavor of you wish!

Enjoy! & Happy Stamping!

I will be posting my projects over the next couple of days!

This fun easel card features a beautiful mix of warm, earthy colors. The flowers from the Lovely Arrangements Bundle were created using the no-line coloring technique with Pecan Pie, Basic Beige, and Golden Glow, then layered with leaves from Nature's Symphony Dies against a rich Peaceful Pine background. Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake cardstock add softness, while a striped piece of Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper brings extra pattern and interest. Peaceful Pine Bordered Ribbon, tied in a simple bow, and coordinating embellishments complete the card front. The birthday greeting inside serves as the stopper that holds the easel open, making this card as fun to display as it is to receive!

If you love interactive cards, you're going to enjoy this elegant Peek-A-Boo Slider Card! At first glance, the rich botanical pattern from the Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper takes center stage with its deep greens, delicate ferns, and warm golden blossoms. But with one simple pull, a hidden surprise is revealed, making this card as fun to open as it is beautiful to display. For this design, I paired the gorgeous Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper with Mossy Meadow and Golden Glow cardstock to bring out the rich colors in the paper. The layered circular slider creates the perfect focal point, revealing the "Thinking of You" at first glance

This beautiful birthday card combines soft, feminine colors with a wonderful fun-fold design. The textured Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper creates the perfect backdrop for the layered die-cut flowers and rich green leaves. A coordinating belly band wraps around the front panel and features a large “Happy Birthday” greeting framed with a Peaceful Pine stitched oval. Scalloped Petal Pink ribbon, a delicate flower, and coordinating embellishments add the perfect finishing touches. This lovely card is sure to make any birthday feel extra special!

This warm and cheerful birthday card features the beautiful Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper layered on a Cajun Craze card base. The detailed flowers and leaves, cut with the Radiant Sunflowers Bundle, are arranged on a Cajun Craze stitched circle and framed by a large circular opening for added depth and dimension. Very Vanilla cardstock softens the rich color palette, while a delicate Baker's Twine bow and coordinating embellishments provide the finishing touches. The “Happiest Birthday Wishes!” greeting makes this card perfect for celebrating someone special!

There’s something about sunflowers and warm fall colors that makes a card feel extra cheerful! I love how this fun fold design creates several different areas to showcase the beautiful Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper while still keeping those sweet sunflowers front and center. The rich Early Espresso card base pairs beautifully with the Cajun Craze and floral patterns, while the Cajun Craze vases and green leaves add just the right pop of color. The two die-cut sunflowers really bring the card to life, and the simple “Hello, Friend” greeting makes this a wonderful card to send for almost any occasion. A few little embellishments from the 2026-28 In Color Gems scattered around the card add just a touch of sparkle without taking away from all those gorgeous fall colors. This is one of those cards that looks impressive when it’s standing up, but is much easier to create than you might think! Be sure to download the FREE Project Sheet below for the measurements and instructions so you can create one of your own.
