Egg-Stra Awesome

April 4, 2017

Day 4 of the Easter Parade! and it’s Egg-Stra Awesome! This card uses the Basket Bunch Bundle on page 18 of the Occasions Catalog. I almost didn’t buy this set I was convinced it had way too many little pieces. I am glad I did, it has some great pieces in it that compliment other sets as well.

The cardstock is in the following sizes:
Whisper White 5 1/4 x 4, 2 1/2 x 3 1/2, 5 x 1 1/4
Sweet Sugarplum 7 3/4 x 5 1/2 (score at 1 3/4 & 6)
Rich Razzelberry (2) 5 1/8 x 1 3/8, 2 1/2 x 3 1/2
Succulent Garden DSP 1 1/4 x 5

I am going to give you step by step instructions so this card comes out beautiful and easy!

Cut the Doily with the circle die from Layering Circles that is just a little larger than the center circle of the doily. On your 3 x 4 Animal Party DSP cut the basket from Window Shopping Thinlits and two dies from the Layering Circles Framelits dies to make the handle (use the same one as you did for the doily and the next size up). Glue the handle to the doily. Place the doily/handle on the 5 x 3 3/4 Whisper White towards the top and center side to side, DO NOT GLUE DOWN! Stamp the greeting on the bottom right (notice my greeting is a little high and my doily is a little lower than it could be). Trace the center hole you created previously. Remove the doily/handle and adhere the Whisper White to the Bermuda Bay cardstock. Cut the hole in the two pieces of cardstock using the same circle die you used on the doily. Center the two pieces you just cut on the card base and draw a circle on the card base. Cut the card base using the same die you used previously for the hole. The reason for doing all the hole cutting separately is that the dies are not designed to cut through 3 sheets of cardstock. I found this to be the easiest way to do it.

Adhere the grass to the inside of the card with two of the Glimmer Eggs. The basket is attached to the doily and then attach the last glimmer egg and bow.

Today I wanted to show you how you can used this fun stamp & die set and not use the Designer Series Paper. I love the coordinating Designer Series Paper but I think there are about a million posts on the interned showing how to use the DSP so I wanted to reach outside the box and use something else. I selected the wood grain DSP from Beautiful Gallery and I love the way it came out. Be sure to download the free Project Sheet below

For this card I started out with the beautiful 2025-27 In Color Strawberry Slush. I used the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape and die to cut the flowers. I added the beautiful Metallic Texture Rub Ons to add bling to the card. You will find all of these things in my Stampin' Up! store . Be sure to download the Free Project Sheet for all the measurements.

This sweet card uses the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape with the die to cut the flowers. I attached the tape to a piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut it using the coordinating die. This made for a bunch of beautiful flowers to attach to the front and inside of the card. The greeting is from Year of Flowers. I added the beautiful little Iridescent Pearls to the centers of the flowers . The background is embossed with Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder. You will find all these products listed below along with Free Project Sheet.

No, I am not stuck on this set of dies, however, this idea came to me through an indirect route and I of course had to change it up and do it a little differently. The Thankful Garden Bundle or the Pretty Floral Bundle could be used for this idea. Actually any set of die cut flowers would work. I used an 11 x 4 1/4 piece of Basic White for my card base so the card opens at the top instead of the side to create a beautiful and fun easel fold
