Floating Element Card

March 18, 2021

I love this card style of card. It was fun to create. I used colors that were in the Sand & Sea Designer Series Papers as my place to start from. It is simple and yet has a fun design element.

Measurements:

Cut 4 1/4 x 11 Basic White, score @ 5 1/2
Cut 4 x 5 1/4 Rococo Rose, adhere to the front of the card

Cut (2) 1/2 x 5 Rococo Rose

Cut (2) 5/8 x 5 Rococo Rose

Cut (2) 1/2 x 5 Seaside Spray

Cut (2) 5/8 x 5 Seaside Spray

Cut (2) 1/2 x 5 Granite Gray

Cut (2) 5/8 x 5 Granite Gray
Cut (2) 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Window Sheet. adhere the strips to the window sheet leaving about 1/8" between each strip

Die cut with a shape, keep the outside edges!

Stamp a greeting

Using Stampin' Seal adhere the two circles together

Using Foam Adhesive Strips, put strips on the Window Sheet side behind the strips, peel and adhere to the front of the card

Die cut flower from Basic White, color the stem with Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blend

Cut flower centers from scraps of Basic White, BUT FIRST, brush a spot on the scrap with Rococo Rose, Granite Gray and Seaside

I used the left over edges to create a second card.

Measurements:
Basic White - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score @ 4 1/4

Seaside Spray - 4 x 5 1/2

Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper - 3 1/4 x 4 1/2

Basic White - 2 3/4 x 4

Window sheet strips are cut no more than 5/8" wide, the side ones are cut at 3/8 (these were the left over scraps from the project above.

Love this technique, have fun with it. Below is a video I created to show you how I did this. As well as a shopping list of supplies you may need to purchase.

My favorite part of my job is creating. It doesn't always come easy but this month's Paper Pumpkin kit contained beautiful Alcohol Ink papers. The papers were so beautiful and the kit included nine card bases which had the design on the front and back of the card. When cutting them apart you were able to create 18 card fronts. I started designing by cutting them apart and then went from there. Throughout the week I will post 3 cards each day for seven days that were all made with April 2025 Paper Pumpkin Inked Occasions

This is the final card in a series from the Impressions Abloom. If you have not see the others check my blog. This is the first one I created using Timid Tiger but for my Facebook Live I wanted to use the new In Colors.

All this week I will be posting cards created with products remaining from my recent event. This card was inspired by the card below that I created for that event. I had a focus on creating masculine cards and when I was done with the event I had a set of the undone cards remaining. I had received the New Impressions Abloom which is only available if you are a Demonstrator until May 1, 2025. After that date it will be available to anyone. I used the products that were in the packet to create this card. Of course I added a few extra things. I will give you all the instructions on the page including measurements and products used for both projects
