HOW TO USE GIVE IT A WHIRL DIES

Jun 30, 2021

These are fun dies and if you make cards for kids you will want to invest in the dies. They include the mechanism as well as some fun shapes to go along with it. I have been working on designing my next class and I am using Art In Bloom Hybrid Bundle so I had a few flowers left over from playing with that and decided they would make a great front for my card. It goes to show that you can decorate it any way you want. I think the new Santa Clause coming out in the July - December Catalog will be really fun with this set of dies!

Cut 4 x 11 1/4 Soft Succulent, score at 5 1/2
Cut 5 3/8 x 4 - Basic White
Determine which shape you want to use for the window
Cut 5 1/2 x 4 Designer Series Paper, then place the window shape and the large rectangle on the DSP and cut out
Center the DSP on the Basic White and trace where the area for the wheel is, punch with a 1 1/4" punch
Cut 4 x 4 Basic White, cut wheel out, it will leave impressions, stamp those areas, remember the wheel turns. Turn it so the greeting is at the top each time you stamp so you don't end up with one upside down.

Line up the DSP with the Basic White and punch a hole in the Basic White where the small hole is in the DSP

Put the brad through the DSP, don't close the prongs down, turn it over and put dimensionals on the back of the DSP, allowing the wheel to move freely, remove from DSP

Attach the wheel to the Basic White, don't tighten down it needs to be able to turn
Peel off the dimensionals on the DSP and adhere to the Basic White over the wheel, attach to the card front & decorate

Flowers: Stamp with Art In Bloom in Pale Papaya and die cut

Add a bow and one of the little arrows from the Give It A Whirl Dies

INSIDE:

Cut 4 x 5 1/4 Basic White

Cut 4 x 1/2 DSP adhere along the bottom of the Basic white leaving about 1/4" showing

Note:

In the video I created an easel card. I cut an additional piece of Evening Evergreen at 4 1/4 x 11, score at 2 3/4 & 5 1/2

This is the most adorable stamp set! The characters are so cute you won't want to miss out on this one. It also has dies that coordinate with it to make it even more adaptable.

The Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack makes amazing, quick and easy cards. Just create a card layout of your choice, add complimentary Designer Series Paper that coordinates with the flower image you chose and you are well on your way to creating a beautiful card. You will need a few basics to take your card to the next level. Here I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies, Eyelet Embossing Folder & Natures Sweetness Designer Series Paper. The greeting came from So Sincere.

For this one I used Summer Splash the last of the five colors in the 2024-26 In Color Collection. I used Trusty Tools Bundle and Happy Little Things to bring this color to life. This coordinates well with Pool Party, as suggested by the name, and Pretty Peacock.

This is the fourth of the five new 2024-26 In Colors Petunia Pop. I love this color and it fits in well with our color families. Here I have added Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia to the card as accents. I did partial die cutting using the Simply Zinnia Bundle and the Stampin' Cut Machine.
