IS IT A HIPPO OR A COW?

One of the new Sale-a-Bration stamp sets is called Happy Hippo. But is it a hippo or a cow. In this blog post you will see three really cute cards that I created with this stamp set and then you can decide, Is is a Hippo or a Cow?


The stamp set is a Free with a $50 purchase during the months of July & August 2022. However, don't wait too long because when it is gone, it's gone! All three cards use the same measurements:

Cut 4 1/4 x 11 Basic White (Mint Macaron or Orchid Oasis)
Cut 4 1/4 x 4 Parakeet Party or Sweet Sorbet, adhere to inside of the card
Cut 4 x 3 3/4 Basic White, adhere to inside of card


Cut 4 1/8 x 4 3/8 Parakeet Party (Sweet Sorbet or Basic White), adhere to front of card
Cut 4 x 4 1/4 Designer Series Paper, adhere to above layer
       I used Butterfly Kisses, Rings of Love (Free SAB), Tea Boutique
Cut 4 1/8 x 7/8 Parakeet Party, (Sweet Sorbet or Basic White) adhere to front left panel
Cut 4 x 3/4 Designer Series Paper, adhere to panel on left

Attach ribbon around this panel, tie bow or knot and glue closed


Cut stitched square for the front using Fresh Freesia (Sweet Sorbet) with largest die from Stylish Shapes
Cut Basic White square for the front using next size down, adhere together and attach to the front of the card
Stamp the image on Basic White in Tuxedo Black and color the image to coordinate with your DSP
Die cut any complimentary images and attach to the front

Adhere the image with Wobbles Mini Action springs

My favorite part of my job is creating. It doesn't always come easy but this month's Paper Pumpkin kit contained beautiful Alcohol Ink papers. The papers were so beautiful and the kit included nine card bases which had the design on the front and back of the card. When cutting them apart you were able to create 18 card fronts. I started designing by cutting them apart and then went from there. Throughout the week I will post 3 cards each day for seven days that were all made with April 2025 Paper Pumpkin Inked Occasions

All this week I will be posting cards created with products remaining from my recent event. This card was inspired by the card below that I created for that event. I had a focus on creating masculine cards and when I was done with the event I had a set of the undone cards remaining. I had received the New Impressions Abloom which is only available if you are a Demonstrator until May 1, 2025. After that date it will be available to anyone. I used the products that were in the packet to create this card. Of course I added a few extra things. I will give you all the instructions on the page including measurements and products used for both projects
