BumbleBee or Magenta Madness?

December 24, 2021

Which one is your favorite? Magenta Madness

Or Bumblebee

This card is beautiful no matter what color you use and it is beautiful to create using a simple technique of scoring.

I used the soon to be released Dahlia Days stamp set and the Sweet Hearts Dies.

  • Cut 4 1/4 x 11 Extra Thick Basic White, score at 5 1/2, stamp dahlia, in the top right and bottom using 2nd generation stamping (that is where you stamp once on scrap before applying the ink to the card) in Magenta Madness or Bumblebee
  • Cut 3 3/4 x 5 Basic White, stamp full strength Magenta Madness or Bumblebee, on the top right and bottom left using the same color
  • Create a mask by stamping on a sticky note and trim around the flower, use this to cover the flower image when stamping the leaves
  • Cover the flower and stamp the leaves in Shaded Spruce or Just Jade
  • Stamp the greeting in Shaded Spruce/ Just Jade in the bottom right corner
  • Turn this layer face down on the Scoring Board and score every 1/4 inch from 1 1/4 to 2 1/2 ( 1 1/4, 1 1/2, 1 3/4, 2, 2 1/4, 2 1/2
  • Die cut the larger heart from the Sweet Heart Dies, put the die on the Scoring Board in the top left corner and score at 1/4 & 1/2
  • Cut 1 1/4 x 5 3/4 Vellum Cardstock, with 5 3/4 along top of board, score at 1 & 4 3/4, wrap around card panel and adhere on back
  • Wrap ribbon around the center of the vellum layer, attach on the back
  • Tie a bow and adhere to the front
  • Attach the panel to the front of the card using Dimensionals
  • Attach the heart with a dimensional lining up the score lines in the heart with the score lines on the card layer

My favorite part of my job is creating. It doesn't always come easy but this month's Paper Pumpkin kit contained beautiful Alcohol Ink papers. The papers were so beautiful and the kit included nine card bases which had the design on the front and back of the card. When cutting them apart you were able to create 18 card fronts. I started designing by cutting them apart and then went from there. Throughout the week I will post 3 cards each day for seven days that were all made with April 2025 Paper Pumpkin Inked Occasions

This is the final card in a series from the Impressions Abloom. If you have not see the others check my blog. This is the first one I created using Timid Tiger but for my Facebook Live I wanted to use the new In Colors.

All this week I will be posting cards created with products remaining from my recent event. This card was inspired by the card below that I created for that event. I had a focus on creating masculine cards and when I was done with the event I had a set of the undone cards remaining. I had received the New Impressions Abloom which is only available if you are a Demonstrator until May 1, 2025. After that date it will be available to anyone. I used the products that were in the packet to create this card. Of course I added a few extra things. I will give you all the instructions on the page including measurements and products used for both projects
