BASKET WEAVE POCKET CARD

I remember creating basket weave projects this time of year when I was a child. It seemed for Christmas and Thanksgiving it was a big thing in school. When I saw this I knew I had to create one. It was fun and easy.
I used the purse handle from All Dressed Up Dies, however, if you don't have them you could also use the suspender strip from Handsomely Suited or you could just cut 1/2" strips. I like the stitching on the strips so that is why I used the dies. The card is fun and I love the outcome!
Supplies:
Cut 6 1/2 x 9 1/2 Extra Thick Basic White, with 9 1/2 at top score at 2 1/4 & 6 1/2, rotate 1/4 turn and with the 6 1/2" side at the top score at 1"
Cut 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 Basic White
Scrap of Real Red for punching 1/2 of 2" circle punch
Die cut 3 strips of each color
I used the Merry Christmas from Heartfelt Wishes and the Santa from Be Jolly for the inside card. I colored Santa with Real Red Dark, Basic Black Light, Ivory and his buckle with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends. I used Wink of Stella for his beard, and trim on his hat & coat.
