Colorful Seasons Stained Glass

December 18, 2017

This is a new Stained Glass Technique for me

This is a new technique for me and I could think of several different ways to do this. First I will tell you how I made it then give you other ways. I stamped the line leaf image with VersaMark on a window sheet and heat embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder. Be sure that your window sheet will endure the heat. If you are using the write on overhead sheets they will buckle, bend and melt if you use the heat gun on them. Be sure to use one that will tolerate that heat. Ink the solid leaf with So Saffron and with a dauber the edge with Soft Suede and the center with Cajun Craze and stamp it in the center of the Whisper White that is cut with the Stitched Square die.Use the die to cut out the leaf and adhere the leaf to the Copper Scallop Square. Adhere the Window Sheet to the back of the Whisper White that the leaf is cut out of. Attach the Whisper White to the Scallop Copper Square.

Stamp set is Colorful Season
Early Espresso - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Copper Foil - 5 1/4 x 4, 2 3/4 x 2 3/4
Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack - 5 1/8 x 3 7/8
Whisper White - 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
Window Sheet - 2 1/4 x 2 1/4

Some other things I thought about in using this technique are: You wouldn't have to have a solid stamp. You could just sponge on a piece of Whisper white and place that on the Copper foil instead of the leaf. You could color with sponges, daubers, Stampin' Write Markers, Stampin' Blends or even watercolor on the Whisper White. You could emboss the line image in any color but you must have a line image and corresponding die to work with. I am sure you can think of many other ideas. I would love to hear them. Please put them in the comments section.
Happy Stamping!

My favorite part of my job is creating. It doesn't always come easy but this month's Paper Pumpkin kit contained beautiful Alcohol Ink papers. The papers were so beautiful and the kit included nine card bases which had the design on the front and back of the card. When cutting them apart you were able to create 18 card fronts. I started designing by cutting them apart and then went from there. Throughout the week I will post 3 cards each day for seven days that were all made with April 2025 Paper Pumpkin Inked Occasions

This is the final card in a series from the Impressions Abloom. If you have not see the others check my blog. This is the first one I created using Timid Tiger but for my Facebook Live I wanted to use the new In Colors.

All this week I will be posting cards created with products remaining from my recent event. This card was inspired by the card below that I created for that event. I had a focus on creating masculine cards and when I was done with the event I had a set of the undone cards remaining. I had received the New Impressions Abloom which is only available if you are a Demonstrator until May 1, 2025. After that date it will be available to anyone. I used the products that were in the packet to create this card. Of course I added a few extra things. I will give you all the instructions on the page including measurements and products used for both projects
