HAPPY BIRTHDAY WITH CANDY CANES DIES

Jun 29, 2022

So sorry that I didn't get this posted yesterday. After my video I needed some me time, so I went swimming. It was a beautiful hot day to hop in the pool and just enjoy the cool water, so that is what I did. So today I am trying to catch up on all the things I promised.

This card started out to be something different. I knew that I wanted to use the Candy Cane Dies in a different way. I like the way they create a background. We have so many great dies this year that can be used in a background. I didn't want to do Christmas yet. There are so many great stamp sets in our Annual Catalog that was just released a couple of months ago that I feel like I haven't finished playing with yet.

For this one I used the Candy Cane Dies that will be released July 1 in the new July - December Mini Catalog. Then I used the Happy Birthday greeting from Cottage Rose, which I just love! The flowers came from the new Wonderful World Bundle (Stamp set & Designer Series Paper), I fussy cut around the flower in the paper. I also used the 2022-23 In Color Glimmer Paper. I just love the products and how they came together.

Measurements:

  • Cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Starry Sky/ Sweet Sorbet, score at 4 1/4
  • Cut 5 1/4 x 4 Adhesive Sheet, adhere to Basic White below before die cutting
  • Cut (2)  5 1/4 x 4 Basic White, one for inside and one for use on the front, cut with the die from Candy Cane Dies, cut a strip of Masking Paper to use along the edges to keep from stamping the greeting on the frame area. Stamp the greeting with Starry Sky/Sweet Sorbet across the White strips that remained after die cutting. Keep the strips that cut out, stamp one of them with the greeting and trim the end
  • Cut the largest circle in Starry Sky/ Sweet Sorbet using the Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Cut the Basic White circle using the largest  Layering Circle dies
  • Fussy cut the flower from the Designer Series Paper, adhere to the Basic White Die
  • Attach the greeting using Dimensionals
  • Add the Double Bow tied with the In Color Ribbon
  • Add the bling of your choice

This is the most adorable stamp set! The characters are so cute you won't want to miss out on this one. It also has dies that coordinate with it to make it even more adaptable.

The Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack makes amazing, quick and easy cards. Just create a card layout of your choice, add complimentary Designer Series Paper that coordinates with the flower image you chose and you are well on your way to creating a beautiful card. You will need a few basics to take your card to the next level. Here I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies, Eyelet Embossing Folder & Natures Sweetness Designer Series Paper. The greeting came from So Sincere.

For this one I used Summer Splash the last of the five colors in the 2024-26 In Color Collection. I used Trusty Tools Bundle and Happy Little Things to bring this color to life. This coordinates well with Pool Party, as suggested by the name, and Pretty Peacock.

This is the fourth of the five new 2024-26 In Colors Petunia Pop. I love this color and it fits in well with our color families. Here I have added Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia to the card as accents. I did partial die cutting using the Simply Zinnia Bundle and the Stampin' Cut Machine.
