SHARE A MILKSHAKE GATE FOLD CARD

February 8, 2023

I could make a dozen of these cute cards in no time at all. This is one of the new stamp bundles in the January - April 2023 Mini Catalog called Share A Milkshake. You can do a Sundae, Milkshake or Ice Cream Cone. It is really fun to use.  Who doesn't love ice cream?  On the first one I used the Country Gingham Designer Series paper and the ice cream is Petal Pink, Sahara Sand & Blushing Bride.

This is the Gate Fold card where it comes together in the middle. In the video below I will show you how to do this and make it stay closed without a belly band or ribbon.

Measurements:

5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Basic White, score at 2 1/8 on each end. Do not measure it out and score. Stampin' Up! paper is just a hair larger and you want that hair in the middle where the two panels come together. If you sore and don't have any space I recommend you trim off 1/32 of an inch on each edge. Which means you need a really sharp pair of scissors or a good sharp cutting blade. Or when you fold it fold so that your fold is in the grove differently and use a bone folder to crease it well. In the video I will explain more of this.

5 1/4 X 4 Basic White adhere to inside of card, center panel
(2) 5 1/4 x 1 7/8 Basic White (above I used Petal Pink), attach to front panels
(2) 5 1/8 x 1 3/4 Designer Series Paper

3" circle cut with Stylish Shapes Dies, largest circle

3 x 4 Crumb Cake, die cut cone
2 1/2 x 5 1/2 Basic White scrap for ice cream
1/2 x 3 Basic White, stamp greeting in Sahara Sand, flag ends
(3) 1 1/2 x 2 THICK Basic White, on 2 of them score at 1" with the 2" side at the top

Today I wanted to show you how you can used this fun stamp & die set and not use the Designer Series Paper. I love the coordinating Designer Series Paper but I think there are about a million posts on the interned showing how to use the DSP so I wanted to reach outside the box and use something else. I selected the wood grain DSP from Beautiful Gallery and I love the way it came out. Be sure to download the free Project Sheet below

This card uses the beautiful new Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection to create a fun Backbend Easel Card. This is one of the many Suites that are on sale during the month of June 2025.

For this card I started out with the beautiful 2025-27 In Color Strawberry Slush. I used the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape and die to cut the flowers. I added the beautiful Metallic Texture Rub Ons to add bling to the card. You will find all of these things in my Stampin' Up! store . Be sure to download the Free Project Sheet for all the measurements.

This sweet card uses the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape with the die to cut the flowers. I attached the tape to a piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut it using the coordinating die. This made for a bunch of beautiful flowers to attach to the front and inside of the card. The greeting is from Year of Flowers. I added the beautiful little Iridescent Pearls to the centers of the flowers . The background is embossed with Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder. You will find all these products listed below along with Free Project Sheet.

No, I am not stuck on this set of dies, however, this idea came to me through an indirect route and I of course had to change it up and do it a little differently. The Thankful Garden Bundle or the Pretty Floral Bundle could be used for this idea. Actually any set of die cut flowers would work. I used an 11 x 4 1/4 piece of Basic White for my card base so the card opens at the top instead of the side to create a beautiful and fun easel fold
