Days of Old

So here is my card for today. It reminds me of when I was a child.

Birthday Delivery Bundle and Ribbon of Courage are the stamp sets and dies. These dies cut out the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper images. The first time I saw them I was amazed at how well someone colored the images on the card. When I realized that they were cut from the DSP I knew I had to have this set. The dies not only cut the stamped images from the stamp set but also the DSP images. This little girl is one of them. There are 12 of her on each sheet of DSP.

Cut the following papers:
Whisper White #100730—8 1/2 x 5 1/2, 2 3/8” circle
Basic Black # 121045—5 1/4 x 4, 2 1/2” circle
Powder Pink #144244—5 1/8 x 3 7/8
Birthday Memories DSP #144118—4 x 3
Using the 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 as the card base, score it at 4 1/4 with the long side at the top. Adhere the Basic Black, Powder Pink and Whisper White layers together. Using the Sponge Brayer sponge the doily with Powder Pink. Adhere it to the Whisper White and wrap the 3/8″ Black Shimmer Ribbon around all 4 layers. Using the Stitched Shaped Dies cut the Whisper White circle and stamp the greeting from Ribbon of Courage using Basic Black. Attach it to the Basic Black Circle which was cut using the Layering Circles dies. Cut the little girl from the Birthday Memories DSP and attach her with 2 dimensionals. Attach these layers to the card base. It is simple and yet touches the hearts of most of us and reminds us of our past. This was another card that we made at July Stamp Camp.
