Life is Beautiful

July 16, 2017

I just spent this evening with amy son-in-law parents, a very sweet couplecouple, celebrating their 61st Anniversary. She is beginning to show signs of Alzheimer and he has been so dependent on her until now. Life is changing for them and my heart goes out to them and others in this same situation and there are many. I pray for those who are caring for them as well as for them. It reminds me of this card that I made for my last stamp camp. We forget how beautiful life is and how wonderful it is when we are doing well and how hard it is when we are not. I am thankful for each day I spend with you.

LIFE IS A BEAUTIFUL THING is Created with Colorful Seasons Stamp Set

Cut Whisper White @ 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 score @ 4 1/4 this serves as your card base.
Cut 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 Crushed Curry card stock. This gets adhered to the card base.
Cut Color Theory DP to 5 1/4 x 4. This goes on top of the DSP.
Cut a 4 3/8 x 3 1/8 Crushed Curry, which goes behind the 4 1/4 x 3 Whisper White.
Stamp the chair frame, the branch and the greeting in Soft Suede on the Whisper White.
Stamp the chair seat and the flowers on the branch in Crushed Curry.
Attach the 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon and tie with the Whisper White Solid Baker's twine and finish off with the Metallic Enamel shapes.
This makes a nice card and can be done in almost any color.

My favorite part of my job is creating. It doesn't always come easy but this month's Paper Pumpkin kit contained beautiful Alcohol Ink papers. The papers were so beautiful and the kit included nine card bases which had the design on the front and back of the card. When cutting them apart you were able to create 18 card fronts. I started designing by cutting them apart and then went from there. Throughout the week I will post 3 cards each day for seven days that were all made with April 2025 Paper Pumpkin Inked Occasions

This is the final card in a series from the Impressions Abloom. If you have not see the others check my blog. This is the first one I created using Timid Tiger but for my Facebook Live I wanted to use the new In Colors.

All this week I will be posting cards created with products remaining from my recent event. This card was inspired by the card below that I created for that event. I had a focus on creating masculine cards and when I was done with the event I had a set of the undone cards remaining. I had received the New Impressions Abloom which is only available if you are a Demonstrator until May 1, 2025. After that date it will be available to anyone. I used the products that were in the packet to create this card. Of course I added a few extra things. I will give you all the instructions on the page including measurements and products used for both projects
